Are Gothic Gargoyles a cousin to the Dragon?

Winged Dragon
Gothic Gargoyles and Dragons are both creatures of medieval times. Legends tell of Gargoyles climbing to the tops of churches, cathedrals and other large buildings, glaring down to the streets below. Dragons are found in caves, underground, in water and even in drops of rain. They’re associated with the cold earth which is a great place to keep their treasure.

Both have huge claws and wings and sometimes a long tail. Gargoyles can’t fly even though they have large wings they glide on wind updrafts and on the wind. Dragons do fly and are often fire-breathing, reptile like creatures. They’re typically portrayed as scary, destructive monsters. They’re evil, mean and bloodthirsty; they have a strong liking for young virgin maidens.

Gothic Gargoyles are visually human like, part animal or reptilian and part man. Dragons are a combination of nine different animals: horns of a deer, the head of a camel, eyes of the devil, neck of a shake, abdomen of a large cockle, scales of a carp, claws of an eagle, paws of a tiger and ears of an ox.

Legends say if you eat a dragons heart you’ll get the power to understand birds, eat his tongue and you get the ability to win any argument and rubbing his blood on your skin will protect you from sword wounds.

Most dragons have huge hoards of gold and jewels hidden in their lairs. If you learn how to talk sweet to them and you’re good to them you can get them to bring you all their treasures from their lairs.

Other cultures see dragons as symbols of good fortune. Dragons are beautiful, friendly, and wise. They’re the angels of the orient. Instead of being hated, they’re loved and worshiped. Temples and shrines have been built to honor them, for they control the rain, rivers, lakes, and seas

In ancient times, dragons often represented evil, destruction, and death. The dragon Apophis in Egyptian mythology was the enemy of Ra, the sun god. Dragons also play a role in the bible, where they’re frequently identified with Satan. In Greece and Rome, dragons were thought to understand the secrets of the earth.

In modern times dragons have become extremely popular. Pictures, dragonology, clip art, tattoos, statues, pet bearded dragons and games are just a few of the interests of the dragon culture. One of the most popular games is Dungeons and Dragons it’s a role playing game turning many unlikely people into Dragon Masters.

Gothic Gargoyles have many followers searching for gothic music, clothing, decor, episodes, tattoos, pictures, statues and sunglasses. They have a love and attraction to this grotesque creature.
