How to stop Brand New Serta Box Spring from Squeaking – already replaced once?

Recently purchased Serta Mattress/Box Spring Set from Sears. New one squeaked terribly – couldn’t even turn over without being woke up from it. Had the box spring replaced and it’s somewhat better (not as loud) but still squeaks somewhat. I think that if I spend close to $1000 on a set that it shouldn’t squeak – am I wrong or should they replace the set altogether? I welcome advice from anyone with any experience with this situation.

Is it the box spring or is it the bed frame? The only way to tell is to set it up on the floor. If it still squeaks it is your matress/boxspring. If it doesn’t its the bed frame. At which point its your problem.

Installing a 24ft round above ground pool,Why is liner tight on pool wall?

We have done all the steps prior to liner installation (leveled the ground,5 tons of sand on the floor,pavers, wall up,etc…) Now we are installing the liner included with the pool kit. We lined the floor to the pool wall and pulled the liner over the wall. But the liner is tight on the wall on one side. Causing a gap between the liner and wall.
How can we correct this ? We have tried moving the liner around. Is their something else we should check? It is a round 24ft pool. I`m concerned the liner will tear with the weight of the water. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I installed an 18 ft round pool 2 yrs ago and had the same problem. We just put the top rail on and filled it with water. I have not had any problems with it it might just need to be stretched a little. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

How do you ‘hear the sea’ in a sea shell?

You put it to your ear, you hear gentle sounds of wind and waves washing up on the shore. How does it happen?

” Some people have suggested that the sound you hear from the seashell is the echoing of your blood rushing through the blood vessels of your ear. That is not the case. If that were true, then the sound would intensify after exercising, since your blood races faster after exercising. However, the sound is the same even after exercising.

Others say that the whooshing sound inside the shell is generated by air flowing through the shell – air flowing through the shell and out creates a noise. You’ll notice that the sound is louder when you lift the shell slightly away from your ear than it is when the shell is right against your head. However, this theory doesn’t hold true in a soundproof room. In a soundproof room, there is still air, but when you hold the seashell to your ear, there’s no sound.

The most likely explanation for the wave-like noise is ambient noise from around you. The seashell that you are holding just slightly above your ear captures this noise, which resonates inside the shell. The size and shape of the shell therefore has some effect on the sound you hear. Different shells sound different because different shells accentuate different frequencies. You don’t even need the seashell to hear the noise. You can produce the same “ocean” sound using an empty cup or even by cupping your hand over your ear. Go ahead and try it and vary the distance at which you place the cup near your ear. The level of the sound will vary depending on the angle and distance the cup is from your ear.

Noise from outside the shell also can change the intensity of the sound you hear inside the shell. You can look at the shell as a resonating chamber. When sound from outside enters the shell, it bounces around, thus creating an audible noise. So, the louder the environment you are in, the louder the ocean-like sound will be. ”

The flag of Australia was chosen in 1901 from entries in a worldwide design competition held following Federation. It was approved by Australian and British authorities over the next few years, although the exact specifications of the flag were changed several times both intentionally and as a result of confusion. The current specifications were published in 1934, and in 1954 the flag became legally recognised as the “Australian National Flag”. The flag is a defaced Blue Ensign: a blue field with the Union Flag in the canton (upper hoist quarter), and a large white seven-pointed star known as the Commonwealth Star in the lower hoist quarter. The fly contains a representation of the Southern Cross constellation, made up of five white stars – one small five-pointed star and four, larger, seven-pointed stars.

In addition to the Blue Ensign there are several additional Australian flags, including the Aboriginal flag, the Torres Strait Islander flag and the flags of the Defence Forces. The design of the Australian flag is the subject of debate within Australia, with some advocating its redesign in connection with the republican movement.

How do you get lawn grass out of garden plants.?

Lawn grass has migrated into garden with small, crowded stems. How can I get the grass out without hurting the other plants?

A good method is to mulch your garden area with at least 2-3 inches of mulch (being careful to not put the full amount around your plants all at one time, you need to add a little at a time immediately next to the plants to let them get used to the new depth of material). The grass will find it difficult to grow because of no contact with the soil. Some grass might still come through, but it will be light and can easily be pulled or trimmed.

I like to use a mulch made from melaluca. It is an imported problem plant that is depleating the Florida Everglades. By using it, it promotes the destruction of this invasive species and slows the harvesting of cypress.
